How to choose your Realtor...There are many Seattle Realtors. You and your Realtor will be spending a lot of time together. You need to make sure your personality is a fit and that the communication flows freely. Think about not only the agent but the brokerage they work for. Do they have a reputation for standing behind their clients when times are rough? Are they a national company with a national website? How are the provided services unique?
What is the difference between a Realtor and a Real estate agent? Simple. Ethics. A Realtor is committed to upholding certain ethics within the industry and is active in lobbying policies in government that affect homeowners. A Real Estate Agent is simply a sales person. Interview more than one person! A real estate purchase or sale is a very important, complicated process. Don not just pick someone with your eyes closed, or because they happen to be a friend, or hosting an open house you wander in to. Think about what is important to you personally in this process, and ask those questions. Be sure to ask if they practice Dual Agency. We do not. Call us to find out more about this.
